When No Thing Works Study Group
When No Thing Works is a visionary guide to co-creating new worlds from one in crisis. It asks into the ways we can live well and maintain our wholeness in an era of collective acceleration: the swiftly moving current, fed and shaped by human actions, that sweeps us toward ever uncertain futures.
Zen master and Indigenous Hawaiian leader Roshi Norma Wong’s meditation holds our collective moment with gravity and tender care. She asks us to not only imagine, but to live into, a story beyond crisis and collapse—one that expands to meet our dreams of what (we hope) comes next while facing with clarity and grace our here and now in the world we share today.
This hybrid discussion group will go through the whole book once, with "dealer's choice" meeting planning and facilitation, and then start again with a goal for committing to practices as individuals, supporting initiatives in our communities, and serving as accountability partners for each other.

Bring an instrument, potluck food, and/or your ideas to answer, "What can we do together in response to the climate crisis?" After a potluck and jam, we'll hear from area experts, organizers and leaders about how to make Greenfield more resilient to climate impacts.
We'll end with an open conversation about visions and next steps for Resilient Greenfield. Register now because we only have space for 47 people.
April 15-May 30th will be action packed with events happening throughout Western Mass to commemorate both Earth Day and May day - days to accelerate environmental justice and conservation, mobilize in response to the escalating climate crisis, and move towards labor rights and workers' liberation. Western Mass Area Labor Federation, Climate Action Now and Springfield Climate Justice Coalition have joined together to create this calendar of events and to build solidarity and community across our region.
Visit the Group Home Page and click contact the group's owners and managers to get added. We'll use this for discussions, notices and file sharing for notes and plans we're working on. You need a Gmail account to edit the files, but any account will get emails.
We can set you up for each email, daily digest, or "no email" (if you'd just like to be able to see the group online and collaborate) - so tell us that when you ask to join. Thanks!
